The Senior Citizens and Care Support Center of Lower Saxony in the Northeim District is an independent help center funded by the state of Lower Saxony.
Here you can receive free and impartial advice on the subject of care.
The counseling is intended for those affected and their relatives of all age groups.

Advice on assistance services

EUTB
The "Supplementary Independent Participation Counseling" (EUTB) is available for all inquiries from people with disabilities or people at risk of disability.
The EUTB also advises relatives. The EUTB sees itself as a guide and a platform for mediation – including for other advisory services.
The advisors at EUTB Northeim encourage people with disabilities to develop goals and plans for their lives. Self-determination and the ability to act are strengthened.
The EUTB advises on all questions relating to rehabilitation and participation in society.
For example: Assistants, training and work, barrier-free living, financial issues, aids, daycare and school, personal allowance, social services, severe disability and housing.

Integration assistance:
As a rehabilitation provider and administrative agency, the Integration Assistance Office of the Northeim District advises people with disabilities and their relatives.
"The purpose of integration assistance is to enable beneficiaries to lead an independent lifestyle with human dignity and to promote full, effective, and equal participation in society." (§90 SGB 9)

Integration assistance:
- Determination of disability (within the meaning of SGB 9)
- Benefits to promote participation in society (e.g., assistance services)
- Benefits to promote participation in working life (e.g., workshops for people with disabilities)

All rehabilitation providers are responsible for advising you on questions relating to rehabilitation and social participation. If you apply for assistance services, the rehabilitation providers will clarify among themselves: Who is responsible?
For example: If you apply for assistance in working life, the Federal Employment Agency may be responsible. Or your pension insurance provider. Or the integration office. All providers can provide you with advice. The providers will clarify who is responsible.
Important: You can submit your application for assistance services to one of the rehabilitation providers. The rehabilitation providers are responsible for forwarding your application to the correct office.
